Friday – You often feel with a name like ours, we’d never have room to complain about the weather, well Friday was no exception. As main support to veteran rockers Reef, some could be forgiven for thinking the weather could put a dampener on the start of Triumph Live. It had the opposite effect. From the opening exchange with the audience where Martin shunned the Shelter of the stage and got out on the edge with the crowd saying “We’re from Manchester. You could be forgiven for blaming us for the weather with a name like ours so You don’t mind if I join you…” the night took off and the band never looked back. Reef played a blinding set and as always were real decent lads to play music with.
Saturday – After an action packed day of interviews, BBQ’s & playing an acoustic showcase at the VIP bar, the band took to the stage as main support to the Kaiser Chief’s to the biggest crowd we’ve played to. The Atmosphere was electric and having met the Kaiser’s before, it was great that both bands watched each other’s set. Rowetta joined the band for The Prodigal before the crowd took “Rise Again” to a new level.
The Kaiser’s gave great support to “Rise Again” when we released it in the UK and for them to hit twitter and their social networks giving major plaudits about our gig, meant an awful lot to us and shows them for what they are – genuine lads and one of very best bands out of Britain right now which their gig at Mallory showed
