The video will be officially launched and played on the big screen on Saturday 3rd June at The Boogie Piano, Urmston. Address is – 16/18 Victoria Parade, Urmston, Manchester M41 9BP
After shooting the video and putting the finishing touches to mastering the track and sleeve artwork we’re looking forward to the imminent release of our debut single ‘She’s A Rainbow’.
Following on from the debut EP ‘The Prodigal’, She’s A Rainbow is an uplifting guitar driven summer anthem which has already got Manchester’s musical fraternity buzzing with anticipation.
We’d just like to say a massive thanks to everyone who came down to work on the She’s A Rainbow video shoot. Shot on location in Urmston, Manchester city centre and Rusholme it was a mammoth days work by everyone involved. If you we’re an extra or actor big thanks for your hard work and patience. Final thanks go to the guys from Seveer Media who’s expertise and professionalism under immense pressure was fantastic.
Following on from re-mixing the single She’s A Rainbow (released 27th June 2011), we’ve been busy finalising our 45 minute set for this Saturday’s Friends Of Mine Festival at Capesthorne Hall. We’ll be on stage in The Big Top Tent around 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon. There’s just a few tickets left for the festival which is just 14 miles south of Manchester. Day tickets for the weekend are just £56 per person whilst a 3 day pass for Friday until Sunday is only £89.50.
Massive thanks to all who turned up at The Ruby Lounge, Manchester last night. It really was something else. The support acts Sarah Dixon, Anne-Marie Johnson and Modern Alarms produced knock out sets. As a band we just fed off the general vibe of the crowd and the atmosphere was electric. It was great to showcase new track ‘Is that what you want’ amongst the usual Rainband favorites.
To cap another enormous week we have been confirmed to support the Fun Lovin’ Criminals in the Autumn along with dates with Ocean Colour Scene and James Walsh (Starsailor).
See you all down the front at The Friends Of Mine Festival in 4 weeks time!
It’s been a great week. Not only have we sold out The Ruby Lounge on the 22nd April but we’ve just been informed that HMV Manchester have sold out of our debut EP.
Tonight we’re putting the finishing touches to a new track that evolved from a session last week. A preview of it will appear on this website in the coming weeks. The track is definitely single material, we can’t wait to play it live at The Ruby Lounge on Good Friday.
We’re also in the studio today finalising the mix for the June release of our debut single ‘She’s A Rainbow’
New dates have been added to June tour. We headline Hull Adelphi on 10th June and the Manchester Festival on 12th June.
Following last nights triumphant gig at the Leeds Cockpit we’re really looking forward to our show tonight at The Monto Water Rats in London. The reaction from the crowd at Leeds really did blow us away. After tonights show our next performance in The North will be at Manchester’s Ruby Lounge on April 22nd. Tickets are now on sale so please contact us via the links on the right hand side to make sure you don’t miss out.
