Rise Again hits the top ten and appears on BBC Wimbledon

After hitting the iTunes alternative chart at number 10 in the UK and 8 in Italy, our latest single Rise Again continued it’s early success by breaking into the Official UK Alternative Charts at number 9!

Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 breakfast show are now considering play-listing the track. The station has already been hit with hundreds of emails from fans of Rise Again, The Rainband and the Simoncelli Foundation urging this to happen. If you’d like to help the track get on Chris’s show simply email chris.evans@bbc.co.uk or tweet @achrisevans. Alternatively you can text/SMS the show during it’s 6.30am – 9.30am broadcast on 88291. Let’s make it happen!

The track has appeared on various BBC sources over the last week. It was used as the closing credits to Andy Murray’s 2nd round Wimbledon triumph.

Rise Again live at on Epic TV with James Toseland

On Thursday 14th June we performed Rise Again live for the first time with former World Superbike champion James Toseland on piano. Thanks to Epic TV Norwich for the superb recording of this video. The Rainband, Rise Again featuring James Toseland

Released on Sunday 17th June, this latest single from The Rainband features former World Superbike champion James Toseland on piano. All profits raised from the single will go to The Marco Simoncelli Foundation who’s aim is to build disabled care homes across the world.

The band performed the single live at the British MotoGP with James Toseland.

Following its showcase on Eurosport’s coverage of this weekends MotoGP, we’re pleased to premiere the video to Rise Again here on TheRainband.co.uk. The track feature’s former World Superbike champion James Toseland on piano and is available to download from iTunes and other providers on 17 June with all profits going to The Marco Simoncelli Foundation.

Exclusive 30 second sneak preview of the video to ‘Rise Again’. Single is out on June 18th. All profits to The Marco Simoncelli Foundation

Rise Again’ is the 4th single by Manchester’s The Rainband. It will be released as a download on June 18th following the bands live performance at The British MotoGP at Silverstone. Former world champion James Toseland plays piano on the track.

Marco Simoncelli was tragically killed at last years Malaysian MotoGP. The band were contacted by The Marco Simoncelli Foundation after writing the track and will donate all profits to the foundation which was set up in his name. The Marco Simoncelli Foundation aim is to build hospitals around the world for the disabled.
