Delamere Forest – Sunday 3rd July 2011. The Rainband support Simple Minds

For Jim Kerr to describe yesterday’s gig as in his Top 5 of all time, I guess you see what type of day it was. We had a ball & what a way for lead guitarist Phil Rainey to bring in his birthday at midnight with everyone, led by Rowetta singing happy birthday! – Delamere was simply amazing. These photos prove just that…

All set for our support slot with Simple Minds at Delamere Forest

This Sunday we play arguably our biggest gig to date when we open for the mighty Simple Minds at Delamere Forest. Jim Kerr and the boys will be running through a set of greatest hits playing classics like ‘Alive & Kicking’, ‘Belfast Child’ and ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’.

The gig has long since been sold out and the weather looks set to be good so all in all we as a band cannot wait. It’s going to be rockin’!

We’d just like to thank everyone who came down to the Pretty Green in-store performances in London and Manchester this week. It was great to play our set stripped back in such an intimate and iconic environment.
